Ashleigh and Dave had so much fun at their wedding – and so did we! They laughed, danced and had a great time. They introduced me to something new that I’ve never seen before at a wedding. It’s a celtic tradition. They said their vows while holding an oathing stone. Their initials were carved into the stone too. They told me that in the past it was tradition to get married near water or a stone which was said to be more binding, which has since evolved into saying their vows while placing their hands over the stone. It’s also where the saying, “set in stone” came from! You learn something new everyday. Thanks guys for sharing your traditions with me.

I just got a thank you note in the mail from a client who doesn’t even have her photos back yet. I was so surprised to get a thank you note, I didn’t know what to do. I’ve been doing this for a little over 4 years now and I have never received a physical thank you note in the mailbox, and to top it off, it was complete with a gift card! That was very nice of them to think of us. We went out to dinner on them last night and had a great time! She wrote the nicest note, as you can see below. Oh, and my dog Luna asked me to read it to her too, she was very interested.

When this couple decided to get married, they went all out. Jessica and Garrett wanted something very unique. They tied the knot in front of a huge wall of water at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa! It presented some interesting lighting challenges for me, but we made it work and it turned out beautiful! I love a challenge. They even had some penguins visit in the lobby, how cool! Jessica and Garrett were pretty much up for anything, so we got some fun shots too. Thanks you two for being so great!

Funny story: Since the wedding was in Tampa, my husband and I figured we’d make a little getaway out of it and stay the night in a hotel. We thought we brought everything and we woke up to go down to breakfast and all we had to go with our shorts were our work shoes – classy, very classy. We were the coolest people at breakfast.
